Event Recap | Drone Soccer Exploration at Municipal Guo Xing Guo Min Junior High School
Every school break, children often get stuck on their phones, binge-watching shows, or doing nothing.
What worries parents the most isn’t the holiday itself — but their child “tuning out.”
But at Municipal Guo Xing Guo Min Junior High School in Nantou, we witnessed something different:
A group of students who stepped onto the drone soccer field, learning with initiative and giving their all.
Drones aren’t toys — they’re keys to unlocking motivation
Through Drone Soccer, we designed an experiential program that combines:
Basic drone flight training
Obstacle course challenges
Team-based soccer competitions
During these activities, children learned how to:
Navigate and orient themselves
Work as a team under pressure
Think calmly and reflect after mistakes
And all of this—within just a few days.
One student said it best:
“I love the simulator, because even if I crash, it's okay.”
These kids are learning that mistakes aren’t failures — they’re part of the process.
The final day is just the beginning
From confidently saying “I want to come again” to quietly practicing during breaks,
the breakthroughs weren’t just in flying skills — they were in mindset.
Kids who once struggled with spatial awareness can now fly through obstacles
Kids who feared trying are now saying “I want to keep learning”
Kids who avoided challenges are now finding excitement in them
