In recent years, the Asia International Drone Club (AIDC) has been actively promoting drone soccer, blending technology with competition in an exciting and educational way. From the public drone soccer matches in Taitung’s Chih Shang Township to the preliminaries of the UASACT 台中奧賽特無人機嘉年華初賽, AIDC has provided professional venues and technical support, leading the rise of youth drone activities across Taiwan.
Drone Awareness Event at Chang-An Elementary Inspires Student Curiosity
In June, a drone technology outreach event was held at Chang-An Elementary School in Xitun District, Taichung, aiming to introduce students to the broad applications of drones and their integration with AI.
The instructor demonstrated how to program drones using AI Scratch, and conducted a live drone operation broadcast on a large auditorium screen—allowing students to visually grasp each stage of drone flight in real-time. This interactive experience deepened their understanding of drone technology.
AIDC also introduced drone soccer, an innovative sport that combines technology and physical activity. The unique concept sparked strong interest and excitement among the students.
Bringing Drone Technology to Rural Nantou: AIDC Engages the Shimen Community
The Asia International Drone Club (AIDC) extended its outreach to the Shimen Community Foundation in Nantou, introducing drone education to children in remote areas.
During the event, students learned about drone regulations and industry applications, helping them understand how drone technology is shaping the future.
Children were also given the opportunity to experience flight simulators, try controlling drone soccer matches, and even operate FPV racing drones—giving them hands-on exposure to the excitement and possibilities of unmanned aerial systems.
